Kanu’s trial grounds commercial activities in Onitsha and Nnewi.

Some of the markets in Onitsha, such as Onitsha Main Market, Ochanja Central Market, Oseokwodu Markets,  Bridge Head Markets, Onitsha Medicine Market, popularly known as Ogbo Ogwu Market, Biafra Market Onitsha, New Spare Parts Nkpor, Old Motor Parts Nkpor, Old Motor Spare Parts Obosi, New Tyre Market Nkpor all in Onitsha and its environs, and Nkwo Nnewi Market, Obi Nsoedo Market, Motor Spare Parts Nnewi, Motorcycle Spare Part Nnewi, and Timber Market also in Nnewi were all shut down as the roads in the industrial city was also deserted. The Police have arrested Sowore at Abuja High Court during Nnamdi Kanu trial

The convener of #RevolutionNow came to witness the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at the Anuja High Court. As at the time of filling this report, the Journalist could not ascertain the reason behind his arrest. The  former presidential candidate, and founder of an online news agency ‘Sahara Reporters’, Omoyele Sowore has been arrested.

Ezeife storms court, over Nnamdi Kanu’s trial

The former Anambra state governor, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has entered the court room to witness the trial of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Ezeife was seen in the courtroom around 9:37am. Recall that the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Professor George Obiozor, appointed Ezeife to lead the Ohanaeze delegation to the trial of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

Reacting to today’s hearing, the Coordinator of Igbo Lawyers all over the world, alleged that he came from Aba, Abia state and was denied access to the court room. He condemned the inaccessibility of the courtroom and doubted if the hearing would be fair on Kanu.

Herders-farmers clash: lasting solution to age-long conflict between Herders and farmers.

Igboho seeks asylum in Benin Republic

The Federal Government of Nigeria which has not said anything on the arrest and planned repatriation of embattled Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, sent representatives to the Cour De’appal De Cotonou on Thursday and accused Igboho of importing firearms The FG delegation also insisted that Igboho be remanded in police custody until it concludesd the process of his extradition. The Beninise court had earlier ruled on Thursday ruled that Igboho’s Germany-based wife, Ropo, should be released unconditionally as there were no charges against her. The court, however, ruled that Igboho be remanded in police custody till the next week when sitting would resume in the French-speaking court. The two were arrested at the Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou on Monday while they tried to catch a flight to Germany. Nigeria risks getting many Igbohos, Kanus

Chief Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo state has said that the Federal Government created Yoruba nation agitator,  Chief Adeyemo Sunday also know as Sunday Igboho, and the leader of the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. Therefore, Ladoja said, Igboho and Kanu deserve to be given amnesty just as the government did to a number of Boko Haram insurgents that were also enlisted into some security agencies. The Federal Government had abducted Kanu, the IPOB leader from Kenya on Tuesday June 27.while security agents took Igboho into custody in neighbouring Cotonou on the night of Monday, July 19.
